Ellipsis
Just noticed I used ellipses (plural of ellipsis) in the last three post titles. That's the name for the three dots (...) used to indicate omission of text. So I suppose I used them incorrectly. My apologies.
I just think it's kinda cool that I can still remember the name of it from eighth grade, which is now more than half my life ago.
Doctors don’t like to be proven wrong…
{mosimage}Here we read the story of a woman whose 17-year-old son was diagnosed with skin cancer. And instead of following what the doctor (who was sure the son would die in a couple of weeks if the cancer was left untreated) told them, they decided to find alternative natural therapies for it. And the boy's cancer is gone now, doesn't show up on any tests...yet the mother is being charged with child abuse, and has been locked up by child "protective" services.
Anyway read the story for yourself, unless you don't want to be ranting at the computer the rest of the weekend....
Oh, this is way too much fun…
Darrin watching old Muppet Show episodes reminded me of the Borkifier: an English-to-Swedish Chef translator. Here you can translate a block of text or an entire web page to Swedish Chef, Pig Latin, Valley Speak, Elmer Fudd, or even Redneck.
Oh, and yes, please, by all means post any gems in the comments.
Tell me honestly…
What's the purpose or advantage of having a page on MySpace or FaceBook or Bebo or whatever when you already have a personal website with blog, picture gallery, and everything else?
As far as I can tell, it's only so you can add friends to show off how popular you are. Big fat hairy deal. If there's another reason, please let me know.
I hope nobody I know was on it when this happened…

Baloney in our slacks
This is what I want for Christmas. But it's actually cheaper to buy the two separately, at least at this point.
The suspense is killing me…
Beth said about 2 days ago in a comment that she may have been in labour, but if not, a tentative induction was scheduled for 7:30 pm Sunday. It's now nearly midnight in her time zone and I just wanna know if it's all happened yet. Here's hoping Baby Prins decided to come out on her own before the scheduled induction.
My latest addiction
It's a word association game. Been playing it since 5 pm last night (it's now 9:30 am).
Yes, I've slept. I'm not THAT silly anymore.
Timing…
From Weird Al's MySpace Blog:
By the way, we're not 100% certain, but the "Straight Outta Lynwood" tour may very well be starting in... New Zealand! We're hoping to play New Zealand and Australia in March, with a North American tour to follow in the summer. And I'd really, really like to work in a European tour next year as well... but we'll just have to wait and see how well the record does over there.
Um, yeah, as long as I'm not in labour that day, I'll be there...
